The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain
The police clubs already operate with many of the boxing clubs in England and provide a highly tangible service to the sport. This organisation operates throughout the country providing both services and financial support to the sport.
Governance
The Amateur Boxing Association was formed in 1880 for the supervision, promotion and development of the sport of amateur boxing. In 1993 the ABA of England (ABAE) was formed as a Limited Company to help give greater focus on English boxing.
Today, the ABA of England has a solid base of boxers, coaches, officials and clubs. Each of the 646 clubs belong to a Division. These 30 Divisions each belong to one of the 9 Counties (or associations). These are joined by the Combined Services Boxing Association (army, navy, airforce), British Universities Sports Association (B.U.S.A), National Association of Clubs for Young People (N.A.C.Y.P), and the Police and Community Clubs of Great Britain.
