The Worlds Day One (Tuesday 23rd October)
Day One (Tuesday 23rd October)
The hotel was buzzing with nerves and excitement in equal measure as the 557 strong field awaited the results of the all-important draw (546 bouts between 120 countries - the biggest world championships in history). With a record entry most boxers will need to progress through at least three rounds to achieve qualification. The full draw and live results can be viewed on the AIBA website from 14:00 in Chicago (20:00 GMT) (www.aiba.org).
