Roll of honour domestic

The first ever 'ABA' Championship was held on the 18th April 1881 (St James Hall, London). Titles were awarded at (4) weight categories. There have now been (118) such Championships.

In 1920 the ABA launched the 'Schools Championships' followed by the 'Junior Championships' in (Alexander Palace, London) 1935.  These Championships were followed by the "NABC Championships" which started in 1949.

In 1995 the British Universities Championships were launched. It wasn't until 2000 that the Governing Body established the 'Novice ABA Championships'.  Finally the "Golden Belt Championships" were established in 2004 (Crystal Palace).

The ABA of England would like to formally recognise the achievements of all these 'Champions' and 'Finalists' since 1881 in all its competitions. These records are not complete so please email the ABAE with any omissions, errors or information.

We hope you enjoy reviewing the rich history of the ABAE, it's clubs and of course it's boxers.
